Meetings
Sandhills Blacksmith Guild meetings typically start at 10 am on the last Saturday of even months. Times and dates are announced on the SBG and Carthage Forge social media channels.
A morning demonstration by a local blacksmith is followed by a break for lunch or a snack. Depending on the meeting, the afternoon may focus on group work, or another demonstration.
Blacksmiths of all skill levels are welcome! If you've never picked up a hammer, SBG meetings are a great place to learn more about forging. If you've been doing this for years, we'd love to hear about your forging.
SBG Gate
In 2024, SBG members began working on a gate to be installed at The Carthage Forge. The goal is for this to truly be a group project, so all members are encouraged to get involved. The design was finalized in April 2024, and forging the various components began shortly after.
